Motorcycle volume sales in upto 350cc capacity category fell 13% YoY, constituting 84% of total volumes. Above 350 cc capacity category volume sales jumped 32% YoY in May 2024. Eicher Motors, maker of iconic Royal Enfield motorcycles launched Shotgun 650, Super Meteor 650 and Himalayan 450 cc, driving volumes in the above 350 cc category. Royal Enfield is planning to launch a new motorcycle in the 450cc platform. While Royal Enfield has 90% market share in the 350 cc plus market, in the 125 cc above category, market share stands at 30%. Overall motorcycle market share is 7.2% for Royal Enfield in the motorcycle segment. The company expects double-digit growth in the middle-weight (250-750cc) segment in FY25.
