Bajaj Auto reported total wholesale volume growth of 11% in July 2024. Total wholesale volumes stood at 3,54,169 units. Bajaj Auto’s impressive diversified product portfolio includes motorcycles (ICE and CNG), three-wheeler (ICE, CNG and electric) and serves 80 countries globally.
Bajaj Auto wholesales volumes is the sum total of its presence across all three platforms- ICE, CNG and electric in July 2024. The domestic motorcycles (1,68,847 units) grew 19% YoY and constitute 48% of total wholesales volumes and 80% of total domestic volumes for Bajaj Auto in July 2024. Commercial vehicles (three wheelers portfolio) constitute 16% of total volumes. The company is witnessing strong traction for its newly launched Bajaj Freedom 125 CNG motorcycle, newly launched and renovated N and NS Pulsar series and new affordable Chetak 2901, priced below Rs 1 lakh. Close Peers, Hero MotoCorp and Eicher Motorcycle have yet to make meaningful strides in the electric segment. TVS Motors is second in command in the electric scooter market in India after Ola Electric. The company reported 61% YoY growth with sales rising to 21,442 units in July 2024 compared to 13,306 units, same period previous year. TVS motorcycles wholesale volumes rose a modest 5% YoY and scooter volumes grew 15% YoY in July 2024. Total volumes (354,140 units) for TVS Motor Company increased 9% YoY in July 2024.
Hero MotoCorp reported wholesale volumes at 370,274 units, a 5% YoY fall in July 2024. Eicher Motors wholesales volumes at 67,265 units, fell 8% YoY impacted by upto 350cc category volumes which fell 12% YoY. The upto 350cc category volumes constitute 84% of total volumes for Eicher Motors.
